Commission Terms

1. Overview

Thank you for your interest in commissioning artwork from JB House Portraits. These terms outline how commissions are handled. By requesting a commission, you agree to these terms.

2. Commission Process

1. Initial contact is made via email/contact form/phone.

2. You provide details of your request (subject, size, deadline, references, etc.).

3. A quote will be provided based on your requirements.

4. Work begins only after agreement and a 50% deposit is received.
    

3. Pricing

• Prices vary depending on size, complexity, and materials.

• All prices will be agreed upon before work begins.

• Quotes are valid for 30 days.
   

4. Payment Terms

• A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to begin work.

• The remaining balance is due upon completion, before delivery.

• Payments are arranged privately (not through this website).

• Accepted payment method: Bank transfer
   

5. Changes & Revisions

• Minor revisions may be allowed at the sketch or early stage.

• Major changes after work has progressed may incur additional fees.

• No changes can be made once the artwork is completed.
   

6. Timeline

• Estimated completion time will be provided when the commission is agreed.

• Delays may occur due to workload, complexity, or unforeseen circumstances.

• You will be informed of any significant delays.
   

7. Shipping & Delivery

• Artwork will be shipped to the address provided by the client.

• Shipping costs: UK Mainland FOC, anywhere else will be agreed prior to work commencing. 

• Delivery times may vary depending on location.

• JB House Portraits ares not responsible for delays caused by postal services.

• Any customs fees or import taxes are the responsibility of the client.
   

8. Cancellations & Refunds

• Deposits are non-refundable once work has begun.

• If the client cancels after work has started, any completed work will be charged.

• If the artist cancels the commission, a full refund will be issued.
   

9. Usage Rights

• The artist retains full copyright of the artwork.

• The client may use the artwork for personal use only.

• Commercial use must be agreed in writing and may incur additional fees.

• The artist reserves the right to display the work in portfolios, social media, or exhibitions unless agreed otherwise.
   

10. Client Responsibilities

• Provide clear reference images and instructions.

• Ensure all provided materials do not infringe on copyright.

• Respond promptly to communication to avoid delays.
   

11. Liability

The artist is not responsible for:

• Damage caused during shipping (though care will be taken in packaging)

• Delays outside their control
